Consultation for Skin Quality, Texture & Hydration Concerns

At epiclinic®, we offer medical consultations to discuss concerns such as dryness/dehydration, uneven texture, fine lines and overall skin quality. A registered health professional will review your goals and medical history, assess your skin (including barrier health, elasticity and pigmentation), and—if appropriate—outline a personalised plan. Suitability and outcomes vary between individuals.

Common concerns we can discuss

  • Dehydration or dryness and a dull skin appearance
  • Fine lines and texture irregularities
  • Changes in skin elasticity and firmness
  • Localised pigment or tone unevenness
  • Areas commonly raised: face, neck, peri-oral region and hands

What to expect at your consultation

  1. Assessment: Goals, medical history and current medications; evaluation of skin barrier, hydration, photodamage and lifestyle factors.
  2. Options & planning: If clinically appropriate, your practitioner will explain suitable non-surgical options, review timeframes and after-care.
  3. Informed decision-making: We’ll cover potential benefits, risks and alternatives so you can decide what’s right for you.

Any discussion of prescription-only medicines can only occur during a consultation. We do not advertise these products or their prices.

Factors your practitioner considers

  • Skin barrier status, sensitivity and recent skincare/actives
  • Sun exposure, environmental factors and hydration habits
  • Dynamic vs static line contribution and adjacent volume/support
  • Your preferences for subtle vs more noticeable changes

Areas that may be discussed (if suitable)

  • Face (including under-eye and peri-oral regions)
  • Neck and décolletage
  • Hands

Not all options are suitable for everyone; recommendations are individual.
