The science behind Exilis technology
This technology uses a controlled amount of radiofrequency energy combined with ultrasound waves to target and heat the deeper layers of your skin. This in turn stimulates the production of collagen in the area. Collagen is a protein that keeps your skin tighter, firmer, and springy. The treatment also heats the fat cells in the area which causes them to shrink and break down. Over time, the fat cells are naturally absorbed by your body. What can I expect during my skin tightening treatment?
During your treatment, you may feel a tolerable warm sensation as the device is applied to your skin. The sensation is similar to a hot stone massage so you will feel comfortable during the procedure. The underside of the device also provides cooling to the surface of your skin for added comfort.

What can I expect after my treatment?
After your treatment, you may experience mild redness in the treatment area. Your skin may also feel slightly warm. There are normal and will disappear after a few hours.
How many treatments will I need?
To achieve your desired results, you need 2 to 4 treatments, 1 to 2 weeks apart. Depending on the body area being treated, each treatment can take 10 to 40 minutes to complete. Your surgeon will determine the number of treatments you will need during your consultation.
Can I resume my normal activities after the treatment?
Yes, you can immediately resume your normal activities after the treatment since the procedure is non-surgical. The skin redness you may experience after the treatment is temporary and will resolve after a few hours.
When can I see the results of my treatment?
This will depend on several factors such as the number of Exilis skin tightening treatments you received and the size of the body area. In general, you should start to see improvements in the appearance of the treated area after 2 to 3 months.
