The laser device breaks up the laser energy into several tiny beams to target a specific area. This ensures that the surrounding skin is unaffected during the process. The laser energy then penetrates the deeper layers of your skin and heats water and tissue. This in turn stimulates your body’s natural wound healing response while boosting the production of collagen and elastin. As a result, your skin undergoes a regenerative phase resulting in a smoother, vibrant, and younger-looking appearance.
AcuPulse advanced technology can address various skin concerns, such as:
During your consultation, Acupulse treatment will be thoroughly explained to you. The Dr will examine the skin you would like treated and decide whether ablative resurfacing is the right procedure to deliver the best results.
This treatment can give you the following benefits in 1 treatment:
The treatment is provided at our epiclinic, with no hospitilisation.
During your initial consultation, we will assess your skin condition and general health. This gives us the opportunity to determine factors that can affect the outcome of the procedure. In general, we highly recommend AcuPulse laser treatment for patients with:
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the area being treated and left to work for 45 minutes. This is then removed and the Acupulse treatment area marked out. You will be required to wear protective eye shields during your treatment. Mild discomfort is usually experienced. Most patients find that Acupulse treatment is a relaxing experience.
Depending on the size of the body area, the treatment can take 15 to 90 minutes to complete.
A full face generally takes 45 minutes.
Most patients require one AcuPulse treatment to achieve noticeable results. In some cases, a second treatment may be necessary for serious skin conditions. The number of treatments will depend on your age, skin thickness, and skin condition. This will be determined by your doctor during your initial consultation.
After your AcuPulse laser treatment, it is normal to experience redness, swelling and oozing in the treated area. You may notice the presence of a fine grid-like pattern on your skin. During the first week your skin will start to peel and you may develop some crusting around the mouth area. This is expected and part of your body’s natural wound healing response. After one week, redness, swelling, and other discomforts should disappear. Once your skin has peeled you can see the fresh new skin which is smooth, silky and dewy. To keep your skin healthy as you heal, you will need to take your prescribed medications if required and ointment provided by epiclinic.
Results can be seen around 2 -4 weeks post treatment.
Typically the results last for at least 2-4 years depending on the depth of treatment completed.
Results will also depend on the degree of sun exposure as well as your genetic aging process.
After your procedure, you may experience the following side effects:
